Rachel + Jordan | Engagement Photography in Old Town Chicago, IL

She is from Texas and He is from Connecticut , and they call Chicago home. Earlier this summer I photographed their engagement session in their neighborhood and get to know them better. What I enjoy most about engagement sessions is the chance to get to know each couple better and it allows them to feel more comfortable with me on the wedding day (since I pretty much follow you everywhere except the bathroom). If you have the opportunity to do an engagement shoot, definitely take it! I promise I'll make it fun.

Here are a few favorites from Rachel & Jordan's shoot and I can't wait for their wedding on the East Coast in a few short weeks!

Brady + Nicole | Indianapolis, IN Lifestyle Photography

Brady & Nicole are both very talented creatives who make up the duo of Native Supply Co. They're both designers and photographers as well. It was the perfect evening exploring the city and getting to know them. They're such a sweet and genuine couple, who love to travel and go on adventures whenever they can. I left this shoot feeling so energized and inspired, which is one of the best feelings in my book.

Rhys + Rachel | Downtown Fort Wayne, IN Engagement Photography

When I first met with Rhys & Rachel I knew we'd hit it off, not only because they're genuinely hilarious or just themselves , but also because they have corgis ( I just recently became dog parent to a corgi puppy named Fern). They're such a fun couple, and I feel lucky to know them.

We met downtown for their engagement shoot on an overcast spring evening. There was lots of laughing, some dancing and of course taking some photos with their fur babies.

Nathan + Emily | Warren Dunes, MI Engagement Photography

The first time I talked with Emily & Nathan about their wedding, I had a feeling we’d get along great, but after getting to meet them in person for their engagement shoot it felt like I’d know them for a while. They’re so welcoming and the sweetest souls who just adore one another. They wanted to do their shoot in one of the places they went early in their relationship and it was the place Emily knew Nathan was who she wanted to be with when he helped an elderly woman all the way from the restaurant they had been at to her car.

I had a fun time planning this shoot with Emily, since she is also a photographer in South Bend. I’m excited for their wedding this fall.
