Sara + Corey | Metea Park Engagement Session in Fort Wayne, IN

It was the last of the warm summer evenings and it couldn’t have been more perfect for Sara & Corey’s engagement session (well except for all the mosquitoes). They are such a fun couple and the shoot started off with a picnic in the park, followed by some exploring and squatting all the bugs in what looked like a gorgeous filed of yellow wildflowers.

It was a fantastic shoot and it was hard to choose which images to share.

A Look Back On 2017 | Fort Wayne & Indianapolis Photographer

What a year 2017 was in more ways that I can list. It was an amazing year filled with change, growth, and opportunities I had only dreamed about. I had the privilege of working with so many amazing couples, families, and individuals; who I can't thank enough for making this year one to remember. I loved meeting new people in Fort Wayne, IN, Indianapolis, IN, Chicago, IL, Fairfield, CT and Michigan.

I decided to just share an overview of the year, and I also mixed in some of my editorial work from my new website I launched earlier in the spring www.ruthyaro.com

Cheers to 2017 & excited to see what 2018 will bring.

I couldn't end this post without sharing the about the highlight of the year. I was given an amazing opportunity to freelance for The Wall Street Journal a couple times, and through it I had the pleasure of meeting some of the kindest people.

Brady + Nicole | Indianapolis, IN Lifestyle Photography

Brady & Nicole are both very talented creatives who make up the duo of Native Supply Co. They're both designers and photographers as well. It was the perfect evening exploring the city and getting to know them. They're such a sweet and genuine couple, who love to travel and go on adventures whenever they can. I left this shoot feeling so energized and inspired, which is one of the best feelings in my book.

Nick + Jordan | Downtown Botanical Conservatory Wedding in Fort Wayne, IN

Have you ever met someone and knew that you'd be friends? That's how I felt after the first time I met Jordan and then after I photographed the two of them for their engagement I know it was true. They are so sweet and it's quite evident they they just love life together. Together they have the cutest little man who's smile will melt your heart.

Their wedding was a beautiful inimiate celebration with just their families and some close friends. During the reception Nick performed a song he wrote for Jordan and it couldn't have been sweeter.  There was no stress, no drama and you could tell they were enjoying every moment of their day.  I truly believe that is how weddings should be and it couldn't have been more perfect.
