Intimate Backyard Wedding in Fort Wayne, INRead More
When I first met with Rachel & Rhys last spring on a rainy Saturday morning, they instantly felt like friends (especially after finding out they also have Corgis). I was beyond thrilled when they wanted me to document their intimate wedding in St.Petersburg, FL that took place a couple weeks ago. It was such a beautiful day that was filled with celebrating the start of their marriage. I also say that intimate weddings are my favorite and it's because it really gives the couple the chance to really take in everything and not be so rushed.
Rachel & Rhys are so kind, welcoming and truly people that have become friends. I am so excited to share some of my favorite images from their day (I had to narrow it down 3 different times because of too many images). I'm looking forward to their reception in April.
What a year 2017 was in more ways that I can list. It was an amazing year filled with change, growth, and opportunities I had only dreamed about. I had the privilege of working with so many amazing couples, families, and individuals; who I can't thank enough for making this year one to remember. I loved meeting new people in Fort Wayne, IN, Indianapolis, IN, Chicago, IL, Fairfield, CT and Michigan.
I decided to just share an overview of the year, and I also mixed in some of my editorial work from my new website I launched earlier in the spring www.ruthyaro.com
Cheers to 2017 & excited to see what 2018 will bring.
I couldn't end this post without sharing the about the highlight of the year. I was given an amazing opportunity to freelance for The Wall Street Journal a couple times, and through it I had the pleasure of meeting some of the kindest people.
They tied the knot on a windy fall afternoon on Nathan's grandfather's property in Northern Indiana.
Nathan & Emily (who is also an amazing photographer), have been such a pleasure to get to know over the past year. They're both kind, fun, adventurous and just themselves. They absolutely adore each other and very obviously share a very deep love. There was lots of joy and excitement throughout their entire day and even a storm near the end of the evening didn't stop them from keeping the celebration alive. The DJ playing "Singing in the Rain" was a perfect ending to the amazing day.
